Sustainable Agriculture
Our approach
The majority of the world’s poor depend on agriculture for their livelihood. At CIDT we recognise that developing capacity in agriculture is a strategic entry point for helping the world’s poor find their way out of poverty, improving their food and nutrition security, and creating the space to realise healthier and more fulfilling lives. We offer support and strengthen capacity to enable our clients to formulate and implement effective agricultural policies and programmes. Our team has experience in working directly with farmers, extension officers and other institutions operating at the local level. Some of our previous clients have included government ministries, local and international NGOs, regional economic communities, donors and multi-lateral aid institutions.
CIDT has extensive project management experience earned from managing donor funded projects in Africa and South (including east) Asia, across a range of sectors, and has over the years developed strong networks with practitioners on the ground.
