In November 2025, Head of CIDT Ella Haruna delivered a tailored two-day training on the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) to the Development Pathways team.
Development Pathways are a leading global consultancy specialising in designing and developing social protection systems. Social Protection offers a fundamental way that governments can guard people from poverty and vulnerability including measures such as social assistance (e.g. cash transfers), social insurance (e.g. pensions) and labour market programmes (e.g. public works programmes).
The Logical Framework Approach (LFA) is a structured method used for planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating projects, especially in development, public sector, NGO, and donor-funded programs. The CIDT training oriented participants to results-based tools that support planning and analysis around the project and programme cycle. A social protection case study on shock responsive social protection in small island states was used for participants to actively apply the tools of the logframe approach. The LFA toolkit includes stakeholder analysis, problem and situation analysis, risk analysis, setting indicators and more.
