The official launching of CV4C project took place in Kinshasa in April 2017, five months before the end of the mandate granted to FGM by the Ministry of forests to operate as an Independent Monitor for the forestry sector, under the rules and regulations governing forest control in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
In order to continue the OI-OGF / MEDD partnership, the Director of Cabinet in the Ministry for Environment and Sustainable Development, in letter N ° 213 / CAB / MIN / EDD / AAN / KTT / 04/2017, of 13 September 2017, authorised through the 2nd amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 28 August 2017, concerning the continuation of Independent Monitoring of Forest Law Enforcement and Governance in the DRC. It should be noted that this amendment is linked to the duration of the CV4C project for a period of 4 years (2017-2020).
