Programme Management Training for staff of the Council of Europe

The Council of Europe is Europe’s leading human rights organisation, with a mission to promote democracy, human rights and the rule of law across Europe and beyond. Representing 700 million citizens, the Council sets international standards, monitors compliance, and works closely with its 46 member states. Key agendas include combating violence against women, corruption, cybercrime and trafficking, and protecting freedom of expression, media freedom, fair elections and social rights. A current priority is supporting Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression, and addressing emerging issues such as artificial intelligence, bioethics and environmental protection.

Since September 2024, CIDT has been working as a training parter to the Directorate of Programme Co-ordination, delivering in-house training on Programme Management Methodology (PMM) and Risk Management for Country Offices and Headquarters staff. In addition CIDT has provided targeted technical support on strengthening the Human Rights Approach within PMM and the development of sector-based Common Indicators, helping to improve the measurement of project results within the PMM platform.

CIDT looks forward to continuing to develop this partnership and to future technical collaborations.
