Our approach

At the heart of all our work in education is a commitment to challenging inequality and removing barriers to meaningful participation and improving the quality of education.

CIDT works at all levels of the education system, from basic to higher education, vocational and non-formal education, to provide sector-wide support. We work with a range of clients and partners including national governments, national institutions, national and international development agencies and a number of companies engaged in supporting education, including the British Council, Cambridge Education, Education Development Trust and Proman.

We have a permanent team of highly qualified, skilled and dedicated educationalists with a wealth of national and international knowledge, expertise and experience.

CIDT services

We offer support and capacity strengthening in the following areas:

• Education reform and restructuring;
• Strategic planning
• Curriculum revision/review, design and development, including mechanisms for exams and assessment;
• In-service and pre-service teacher education;
• Project and programme reviews and evaluation;
• Leadership and management;
• Continuing Professional Development;
• Teacher placements and study visits in the UK and bespoke programmes to suit different contexts, systems and cultures.
