Gender Equality and Social Inclusion

This page features examples of CIDT’s capacity strengthening work around equality for women and girls, indigenous peoples' and other marginalised groups, as well as social protection projects and research.

We have experience with conducting gender analyses; evaluating and supporting the revision of gender policies, strategies and operational plans; assisting governments and organisations to more effectively mainstream gender, and supporting women’s rights and women’s economic empowerment. Since 2019 CIDT has specialised in social protection, particularly in relation to conflict and fragility, food security and agriculture, including leading a Social Protection Learning Facility in support of WFP’s Covid-19 response in East Africa.
