A major component of this training is the Logical Framework Approach (LFA).

Course Objectives

On completion of the course, participants will:

  • understand the relationship between Results Based Management (RBM) and the Logical Framework Approach (LFA)
  • understand the ‘logic’ of the results chain within Theories of Change
  • be familiar with RBM and LFA terminology
  • be able to use a range of ‘RBM thinking tools’, including being able to develop a basic LogFrame

Course content

This e-learning programme consists of ten modules, which provide an overview of RBM and cover the ‘seven steps’ of designing and planning for new projects or programmes in a results-oriented manner. It introduces key tools that can be used at various steps, including:

  • Stakeholder Analysis
  • Problem and Objectives Trees
  • Risk Analysis
  • LogFrames
  • Workplans
  • Budgets

Most of the modules include interactive exercises and scenario-based quizzes, including a case study, to help participants check their learning.
