Rufsana Begum has experience in conflict sensitive development and tackling gender based violence in international development. Her areas of interest include promoting conflict resolution, with a focus on bottom up peacebuilding; and she has strong skills in conflict analysis, mediation and negotiation. Rufsana’s work with CIDT has involved undertaking a Lesson Learning Study on Forest Governance Forums in Ghana and Cameroon, coordinating a Timber Legality Assurance System training course in Ghana and producing a promotional video on the Forest Governance Forums. Rufsana’s academic specialism is in Conflict Prevention, Sustainable Peace and Security and she has studied and worked in Sweden, Austria, Palestine and Nepal.
