Richard Nyirenda

Richard Nyirenda is an International Development Consultant focussing on community forestry, forest governance, sustainable livelihoods and climate change and REDD+. A forester, his most recent work has focussed on support to capacity building initiatives in Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade, funded mainly by DFID and the EU in Cameroon, DRC, Ghana, Liberia and other regions. Richard has a strong track record in managing large complex regional projects in West and Southern Africa and is currently managing a €2.39m project on behalf of the EC, with partners in 5 different countries in Africa and Europe operating in both French and English. Richard has developed competency and experience in, training, project management, course development and evaluation including research and analysis and as a facilitator of capacity building initiatives.
