David is a qualified primary school teacher having trained at Newman University in Birmingham. He soon took his teaching experience to Malawi where he helped set up a children’s centre based on the UK Sure Start model over a period of two years. David was responsible for the training of staff, curriculum development and outreach work. After returning to the UK he completed an MA in Early Years (Early Childhood) and managed a private day nursery.
David’s interest in International Development has never left him and in 2016 he graduated from University College Dublin with an MA in International Development. During this time he worked with Concern Worldwide and Street Child, before returning home to Birmingham.
David began working for CIDT in September 2017 and is currently the programme coordinator for the Project Cycle Management Training Programme, funded by the Caribbean Development Bank.
