Developing a Corporate Stakeholder Engagement Strategy for The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA)
The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) awarded CIDT a contract to help develop a Corporate Stakeholder Engagement Strategy. This initiative, led by AGRA’s Policy and Advocacy Program and supported by its Communications Unit, recognises that building strong and beneficial relationships with a wide range of constituencies is essential for AGRA to have a greater impact with regards to its mission to catalyse a uniquely African Green Revolution. The project is being undertaken from February to June 2015.
What is CIDT’s role?
To inform the development of this strategy, CIDT, together with its team of consultants based in West, East and Southern Africa, are conducting a partner audit and influencer mapping exercise. This involves a desk review in 18 countries of strategic priority within key agro-ecological zones of Africa.
Thereafter, staff and stakeholders will be interviewed via a combination of online surveys and face-to-face interviews and focus group discussions. Participatory stakeholder analysis sessions will also be conducted with a diverse set of staff to analyse the findings and formulate recommendations for advocacy and engagement.
