Mr Alex Mulisa, Coordinator of FONERWA, the Government of Rwanda National Fund for Environment and Climate Change visited Telford this Summer to speak to the Improving Forest Governance 2015 course.
Alex gave a case study of FONERWA to practitioners from 22 countries from Africa, Asia and Latin America, as part of the Forests and Climate Change module of the course. His input focused on the role of climate change governance in national development goals, and the way in which the Fund has translated policy into implementation and catalysed innovation.
As part of his visit Alex met with the Head of the Faculty of Social Sciences Mr Miceal Barden, and engaged in planning with CIDT staff for the DFID support project to the Fund Management Team.
